We specialize in private party raft trips, allowing us to customize each trip according to your specific group; from mellow floats through the scenic, less crowded sections of the river, to the premier class III+ whitewater run. We really want your river trip to be a special and unique experience for you, your friends or family. Each group chooses their meals for the trip from our unique river menu: like prime rib hot out of a Dutch oven; Chris’s balsamic chicken stewed with red peppers and onions; spinach lasagna with mushrooms and three cheeses; or choose Dutch oven enchiladas for a Mexican theme. And there are always homemade hors’derves every evening. Lunches are deli style with chips, cookies and fruit; enough to satisfy even Dagwood. We run the Klamath from March through October. Spring time flows can be from 10-15,000 cfs with huge waves and monster eddies that will get your heart pumping as you paddle past a giant hole that nobody in their right mind would attempt. In the Summer as the river drops, the rapids become more technical requiring precise maneuvering; there is more time to relax, float in your life jacket between rapids and enjoy the scenery. And the river is absolutely beautiful in Autumn, with Fall colors you wouldn’t believe; we’d have the river to ourselves! The Klamath is well known for its salmon and steelhead fishing, during some seasons you can watch them roll or jump right next to the boat. One of North America’s most diverse ecosystems, the Klamath will offer you a chance to see bears, bald eagles, osprey, blue and green herons, mergansers, wood ducks, wild geese, river otters, mink, the shy fisher, turtles and maybe the ever elusive bigfoot. We have a 4-person minimum for our private party trips. |
