What Should I Expect? What Should I Bring?
* Departure takes place from our headquarters on the river,
located just west of the town of Happy Camp.
Take I-5 to hwy 96 west or 101 to hwy 299 to hwy 96. (Other arrangements can
be made if necessary).
* For overnight trips we meet around 9:00 am (again, other arrangements
can be made if necessary)
for preparation, packing, and safety talk.
* We provide dry bags for your camping equiptment.
* You provide Sleeping Bag, Sleeping Pad, Tent (we do have some
tents available), Warm comfortable
clothes and shoes for camping, as well as Swimsuit, Shorts, River Shoes, Sun
Hat, Sunscreen,
Flashlight, Bug Repellent.
* You may also want to bring Camera, Binoculars, Book
* You must provide your own breakfast on the morning of departure,
so bring a bagel or muffin, or
pick up a bite to eat at the small diner or deli in Happy Camp.
* Once on the river we provide all meals from lunch the first day to lunch the last.
* You must provide all of your own beverages for the trip -
with the exception of water. Bring a
water bottle and we will refill it for you.
* We provide coolers and ice.
* Takeout is around 5:00 pm on the last day.
